Though this is not finish, I still want to post this now. I will continue work on this probably later this summer or when the year starts again.

Progress
Some more progress on the animation. I find quit interesting that some frames come out extremely abstract like the last one.

Intro Sequence
So this is my intro sequence. I do not know why but the background colour is extremely pixelated. If anyone knows I am listening.

Progress
Some more progress. This is a shot of the whole cell core. I still need to clean up the outer structure.
The video shows a collision between the virus and a cell particle. The idea being to show the lack of thinking found in an inanimate object.

Progress
Some stills of my progress. The logic behind my work is abstract. Colours are symbols as well as shapes. The floating cube represents the genetic material of the cell. I am building my set in disorder. First the Cell Core, then I will start work on the outside of the cell. The shapes are kept voluntarily simple. The title of the animation will set the context.

Final Practice
This is my final test, now Ill get to the actual thing. The good thing is that the rendering time is not outrageous.

Intro Scene
This is the first draft of my intro scene. I will actually have multiple panels that will come up with the name of the animation and anything else required at the beginning of an animation.
The next step will be to enter the vein.

Texture Testing
Now that I have changed my theme going for a much more design look, I did some tests with new textures. I want to get a very monochromatic organism, with a colourful virus.
The logic is that nature uses colour to depict danger.
My only concern now is the limits of what I can do with A/E. I am looking forward to tomorrow to get some help from Pete.

Final Piece
This is my final piece. I am happy with it. Maya is a recalcitrant program and I did all I could with it. I am sure more could have have been done but that is true about everything.

Some final explanations.

I worked on the walls as this permitted my to design the space for the windows. I decided on a table to give a support to the next object that would imply uncanny. A telephone hanging from the table, I hope, should imply quit a lot. Why is it hanging? The phone in my depicts the only connection to the outside world for the unknown convict. I played around with some designs for the phone, preferring a weird looking one to a more traditional one. I tried to convey the feeling that though the scene seems quit serene thanks to the sun light, the viewer is still stuck inside. I find working with light quit difficult, as it seemed that I kept changing the direction or the settings.
So here are some of my trials at playing with light, though I was doing it wrong. I kind of like the idea of an open roof, giving a fully lit interior. Number 2 portrays that the best. I will now work mainly from number 3, adding a mat painting through the windows. Number 5 shows the "Grand-Father Catastrophe"

Number 5 really makes me laugh.
